Là où commence le ciel, exposition au Centre International d’Art et du Paysage – Île de Vassivière, du 23 février 15 juin 2025. Curation Alexandra McIntosh.
In this major solo exhibition, Julier proposes a series of atmospheric spaces that are permeated by the colour red, propelling us from the scorched skies of wildfires to the surface of the sun, and from the terrain of Mars to more internal horizons. Our imaginings of the Red Planet, long a site of speculation and projection, have given way to real possibilities of resource extraction and colonization. Featuring new and recent works in video, installation, ceramic and glass, Where the Sky Begins brings us to the depths of outer space in order to alter our perspective on the world beneath our feet.
